Farewell to a Friend 22nd July 2010
The Friends of Harewood said farewell to one of their founding members, Jane Martin (Acting Head Teacher). The group met up on Monday 19th July for drinks and nibbles to share memories and to show their appreciation to Jane for all the support she has given to the Friends of Harewood and the school over many years.
A presentation of mini wooden stocks was made by Kathy Beckerleg, Chair of the Friends group together with a rather large box containing a hammock for the garden. Amongst the guests were previous chairs, Karen Collyer and Sam Clark with most of the current members of the group. Jane will be missed greatly by the Friends of Harewood but we wish her all the best for the future and hope to see her again.
Success of the Sizzling Summer Fete 6th July 2010
The Summer Fete was held on Saturday 26th June 2010 from 11.00am until 2.00pm, there was a great deal of preparation during the weeks before and 'Friends' members started setting up on the day before 8.30am. The weather was extremely hot and many people attended the event helping to raise over £850.

Have a New Chair 1st May 2010
The 'Friends' group now have a new chair person after many months without one, the new chair is Kathrin Beckerleg, she volunteered for the position at a meeting on 28th April 2010 at the Pike and Musket pub.
Ready, Steady, Lego 4th March 2010
The Friends of Harewood are ready to purchase several Lego sets for the school, they are just waiting for a list from Julie Hearfield. She is preparing a list with the help from children which will be handed over to the 'Friends' group.

Fabulous Family Fun 2nd February 2010
The Friends of Harewood have arranged a Family Fun Night (6.30-8.00pm) which will begin with a game of bingo, followed by a family quiz and a 'Guess the Staff Member Baby Competition'.
