Bag2School Collections (Seven collections held to date)
These collections are a way of clearing out your wardrobes, cupboards and drawers by filling the blue bags which are brought home from school. The bags are collected from the school and taken
away to be weighed. The amount of weight will determine the amount of money raised for the school.
Christmas Fayres (Seven events held to date)
The Friends of Harewood have successfully arranged and held six Christmas events since 2005. Father Christmas has been able to attend every year and this has proven to be the most profitable
event on the 'Friends' calendar every year so far.
Everyclick Campaign
The Friends of Harewood have signed up to Everyclick, an internet search engine which earns the school money for every search made. Although only 1p is made from each search, with enough people
searching, the amount raised potentially could be quite big!
Fones4schools Collections (Two collections held to date)
The Fones4schools collections have been successful and helped raise money for the school, the idea behind this scheme is to donate any old, unwanted mobile phones to raise funds by sending them
off to be recycled.
Sponsored Bike Ride (One event held to date)
The Friends of Harewood raised money by collecting sponsors for a bike ride in the Forest of Dean on Sunday 3rd July 2011. There were several members of the FoH and members of staff who gave up their time to complete the 24 mile route. The total amount raised will appear on the FoH website soon.
Summer Fetes (Six events held to date)
The Annual Summer Fete has been very popular, however the one in 2007 was a bit disappointing due to the weather. Despite being held in the school hall and classrooms, support for this event was
still quite good, numbers of people would have been higher if the sun had been shining.
